The Department enrolls students for its Masters’ Programme twice a year, i.e. for the Spring and then Fall (Autumn) semester. As per university rules, the applicants must possess at least a second class Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University subject to the condition that they meet the requirements of major subjects passed for the Bachelor’s degree as given in University Prospectus.
The prospective candidates should hold a B.Sc degree with one of the following Elective subjects: Political Science, Economics, History, Sociology, Geography, Psychology, International Relations, Journalism, Mass Communication, Defence & Diplomatic Studies and Pakistan Studies. The applicants are required to take an Aptitude Test administered by the department and pass it with at least 50% marks. Only those who pass the aptitude test are l be considered for admission which is determined on the basis of academic merit.
