MoU Signing Between the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies (DSS), Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI), Islamabad

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies (DSS), Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI), Islamabad on September 24, 2024 at Quaid-i-Azam University for academic collaboration, including conducting collaborative research, conducting seminars, conferences and/or workshops, training on strategic mapping of South Asian affairs and nuclear issues, and providing internship opportunities for the students of the DSS department. The MoU will be mutually beneficial for both organisations. Dr Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), QAU graced the occasion. Dr. Shabana Fayyaz, Chairperson, DSS, QAU and Dr. Maria Sultan, Director General, SASSI exchanged the instruments of MoU. Prof. Dr Salma Malik, Director, External Linkages, QAU played an instrumental role in making this initiative to fruition. Dr Sultan presented a souvenir of SASSI to Dr. Jaspal and presented gifts of SASSI publications for the DSS library to the Dr Fayyaz.
