Dr. Muhammad Tehsin, tenured Associate Professor has assumed the charge of the Chairman of the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad.
He is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in international security, strategic affairs, and defence studies.
He earned his PhD in International Security from the University of Vienna, Austria. He holds a Master’s degree in the Politics of Democracy from Royal Holloway, University of London, UK, and a Master’s in International Relations from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. He was as a recipient of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan scholarship. He completed his postdoctoral research at Sandia National Laboratories, California, USA.
Before joining QAU, Dr. Tehsin served at the National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad.
His research interests include international security, nuclear politics, strategic stability, and contemporary defense policies.
As a scholar and academic leader, Dr. Tehsin continues to contribute to national and international discourses on international security and strategic studies.
