Most grateful to Professor Dr. Syed Rifaat Hussain (former chair DSS Department) for honoring the request and joining the resident PhD Scholars for a discussion session on the Ukrainian Conflict & Emerging Geopolitical Scenario on Friday October 28th, 2022.
The discussion centered around the security strategies unfolded by the US, China as well as Russian Federation, how  these strategic plans affect the world at large and what all these powers are doing to implement them. furthermore, the causes, consequences and emerging geo-political scenario in the coming months specifically to the Ukranian issue. the nuclear dimension of the issue and what options all three powers intend exercising to enhance their hold in the future dynamics.
Are there any parallels for conflict regions such as South Asia? what role emerging technologies, military industrial complexes as well as cross domain warfare entail for future wars? The scholars and eminent speaker were also joined by Mr. Khalid Banuri who also brought forth the international law dimension to the debate.
